    Prima Papers...

    ... are gorgeous!

I have fallen in love with Prima, I always loved their flowers but have you seen all the new stuff?  OMG!  It is all so gorgeous that I just want everything :)  I realised that I hadn't shared this layout that I created a couple of months ago using some of the new Prima papers.  This particular one was perfect for cutting out and I cut a LOT out, the flowers are all cut from one paper and stuck onto the dotty paper.  I then layered the flowers with 3d foam,  added a Prima note for the journaling and covered some chipboard letters with one of the other papers in the range for the title - I loved making this one!

Not a lot happening at home at the moment.  Well, there is but not anything I want to make public!!  We have had some really exciting news but it is the type of news that is also causing us (well, me because Mark is so laid back!) to worry and panic.  I wish it was this time next year so that every thing that needs to be sorted is done and if things don't work out then at least by then I may be getting over a very big disappointment.  Wish me luck!

    The Big 5!

Charlotte was a little birthday girl yesterday and we had a great day :)

    Charlotte_blog6

We spent most of the day at Nanny and Grandad's because Daddy was away and I thought that it would make the day a little different if we went over there.  My sister also came over and Mum made a gorgeous birthday party buffet for Charlotte.

I can hardly believe that Charlotte is five already!

Mark managed to get home at 8.30pm last night which was unexpected as he was away on a course.  He popped up to say Happy Birthday to Charlotte when he got in and got her out of bed but she was so shattered from her busy day that she fell asleep on him instantly!

I made this little robot book for Scrapdreamie (I told you I was dreaming of robots!).  I have tried every which way to photograph this but you really can't see the beauty of it in the pictures.  It is 4" x 4" and when you open it, it just cascades out into the robot shape - it is adorable (even if I do say so myself) and I absolutely love it!

    Dreaming of Robots!

I created this page for ScrapDreamie whilst I was at the Plymouth Crop on Saturday.  I love the 'Robotics' range of Sassafrass Lass papers - they are such fun to use!

I have also made another 'robotic' project this week so I am dreaming of them!

I made this butterfly a few weeks ago, very simple but effective.   Charlotte loves it and it is currently hanging from her 'princess' bed!

It's Charlotte's birthday on Thursday so I have a very excited almost 5 year old in the house at the moment.  She is currently laying in bed singing at the top of her voice 'la la la la la la la la lunch time'!!  I have no idea what she is singing about, perhaps she is trying to tell me she didn't have enough sweets today.  She has just got into the habit of telling me her 'leg is hurting' when she wants 'something nice'.  I cottoned on to it very quickly and just hope she doesn't ACTUALLY hurt her leg because my response of 'well you had better sit down or go to bed then' may not be viewed favourably by the doctors at our local surgery!

    School Holidays Again!

Ben and Charlotte are on their school holidays for two weeks so, as usual, every day is taken up with keeping them entertained and stopping them from going mad in the house.  I have already read them the riot act (twice) about running in the house, throwing things and generally annoying each other.  I am sure they think it is a playground in here!

Yesterday Mum and I took Ben and Charlotte into town because Nanny and Grandad had bought them both Build-a-Bear vouchers for their birthday and they were so excited about getting a bear made especially for them.   As soon as they entered the shop they were jumping with joy about choosing the perfect bear each.  Ben chose a traditional teddy and Charlotte just HAD to have the Hello Kitty bear (which would have been my choice too!).  The bears are gorgeous and, of course, Mummy had to get them outfits to wear.

As soon as we got home the bears were dressed in their new clothes and I took a couple of snapshots before the children and the bears trotted off to bed.

Here are some layouts that I have just received back from Craft, Life and Home.  They were for the issue that never actually materialized in the end but I am so happy to have my stuff back, it has been gone for about 7/8 months, I did this work in August last year!!

I also got this back.  It is a door hanger that I made from felt using the skull design from the Doodlebug halloween papers as a template (I scanned the paper and enlarge the image of the tiny skull to use as a template for my felt version).  Ben loves it!!

and finally, here is a layout that I have done a little more recently with some of the gorgeous new My Minds Eye papers.

I finally put some of my beadazzles to use by using them to decorate the center of the Prima flowers.

and REALLY finally this time, I can't resist posting this picture of Charlotte with her new Bob and the one where Ben is showing the new gaps in his teeth because I know that their Nanny and Grandad will love to see them :)

    I Forgot...

...to post this little book that I made for Bellaboo from the absolutely gorgeous Bella's Boudoir kit.  I used the Sizzix album and album pages die to cut the pages from the pizza box that the kit comes in and then I decorated it with the contents of the kit - talk about being a skinflint!!

...and a layout I did last week using the new My Mind's Eye papers - I had to document Charlotte being awarded a certificate in assembly for being the 'Happiest Girl in the Class' - how cute!  The photograph is huge and makes the layout look like it is an 8 x 8 but it is a 12 x 12!

Ben has just come downstairs (he was in bed) to show me that his second tooth has fallen out.  Bless him, there was blood everywhere and even I (not being used to this tooth losing thing yet) was a little worried - he thought his whole set of teeth was coming out.  Anyway, I do not have any change in the house so I told him he would have to wait until tomorrow to put the tooth under his pillow because it is late and the tooth fairy has already left home!!  I must take a photograph of him tomorrow with his two middle, bottom teeth missing;  he looks like even more of a little rogue than he normally does!

Oh, and obviously I have been playing around in Photoshop as usual and created this brand new header for my blog using some recent purchases from the fabulous Prima Hybrid!!
