    Dollshouse.....Done!

Well, we have decorated the dolls house.  In the end I haven't used any scrapbooking papers to decorate the rooms (because Charlotte is too impatient to wait for all that), I may add those at a later date.  Mark has painted the entire house inside and out.  It looks really great.  I have painted every piece of little furniture so that it all looks cute and pretty.   I have  been down to the local craft shop to buy fabric and I have made new bedding for the little dolls - with fairies on, it is so cute!  I also made a little wall hanging and picture for the bedroom wall.

Charlotte loves it.  But it isn't finished yet.  I want to get some felt for the floors and Mark has yet to paint the stairs.  I also have some really old cross stitch magazines with some little charts in for cushions etc so I want to make some of those.  Mum kindly gave me some fur fabric which I have made into little rugs and some pink fleece which I am going to use to make some blankets. I toyed with putting some rub-ons on the front of the house too but I know Charlotte will just scrape them off so I will need to get some varnish to go over them before I do that.

I also have some fabric to make curtains and cover the little sofa - so you see, there is still a lot to do but here it is so far:

It looks much more exciting now!

As you can see the sofa is still red.  Mum gave me some gorgeous damask fabric which I am going to use to cover the sofa and make curtains.

The fairy fabric with squares on was perfect for making the little quilts (which I have padded with Warm and Natural batting).

    I wish it was mine!

Here are the last two layouts that I have done for Mojoholder.  I have done quite a bit of scrapping this week but I can't share just yet  ;)

    Decorating the house...

...not our house, Charlotte's house!  Charlotte has got a gorgeous Dolls House but it is one of those ones that are just plain wood.  Yesterday she saw a really pretty (but very expensive) one advertised on the tv and she asked if she could have it because hers was 'boring' and she doesn't like it anymore. So we are going to take it out of the lounge where it is kept and put it in the shed telling her that the door has broken and Daddy is mending it.  Then we are are going to paint the outside to make it all pretty and I am going to decorate the inside with scrapbooking paper for the walls and (probably) felt for the carpets - I can't wait to see her face when it is done!  I will post photos when we have finished (although it may take a little while to complete!).

This is what it looks like now (images taken from Toys r Us):

Do you watch The F Word?  I love it, I just love watching Gordon Ramsey.  Last week the team made a Chicken Escalope with tomatoes and mozarella cheese - it was so lovely that I made it last night and it did taste gorgeous.  Ben and Charlotte loved it too, I did it with sauteed potatoes and salad.

I went to the Plymouth crop on Saturday and had a great time chatting with everyone (as usual) and I have a couple of layouts to share.

This one is an old photo of Mark's sister Debbie, I love this picture and have been dying to scrap it.

This layout is of Charlotte having a great time at Haven on holiday last month - doesn't she look adorable?

Lastly, but definitely not least Mojoholder went live on Friday and this was my attempt to scraplift the fabulous Alison Shearer.  This layout is of Ben  having huge fun in the park, just look at the determination on his face!

I can't believe how Ben and Charlotte are growing up!  They get bigger every day and I am so proud of them! Have a lovely day whatever you are doing, I am all sorted in the house and I am about to pop over the road to Mum's house for a day of Mum and daughter time, lunch and a bit of cross stitching.

So, I was trying to take a photo of a layout!

..and who should decide to sit right in the way?

    Noodles the cat...

    ..and he wouldn't move!

I haven't been up to much this week because I was sat at the computer on Monday morning and decided to have a stretch, which resulted in me trapping multiple nerves in my back! Don't ask me how that happened but I was in agony.  It is getting a lot better now thanks to some wonderful pills from my doctor!

I am off out for lunch to day with Mark, it's his way of apologising for playing (way tooooooo much) golf!  I am going to a crop tomorrow though so I can't moan at him :)

Ben and Charlotte had their sports day this week.  Charlotte spent the entire morning crying because she wanted to be with me which was a bit of a pain for the teachers, me and her team.

Luckily Mum was with me so she was able to deal with Charlotte whilst I left her to go and watch Ben - who was having a great time.  I did manage to get a couple of photos of Charlotte looking relatively happy but these were really brief moments!  I took part in some of her races with her to get her to do them.

    The Last Project....

...for Scrapdreamie.  I decided to leave Scrapdreamie a few weeks ago and this little frame was my last project.

It was my birthday on Wednesday and I had a lovely day.  I was woken up by Ben and Charlotte (all showered and cleaned by Mark) singing happy birthday and holding cards and presents, bless them.  I was so excited to get the Sex and the City boxed set of all the episodes ever made!  As soon as the kids were at school I sat down and watched the final three episodes to prime myself for going to see the film in the evening.

Lunch time I went to my Mums to spend the afternoon and my sister Carol came over.  I had lunch and Carol had made me this gorgeous little pinkeep (sorry, I pinched the photo off your blog Carol!).

    Corbeille1

I wonder where she got those scissors, I love scissors and I want them!

In the evening Mark and I went to see Sex and the City at the cinema and had a bite to eat at Nando's.  I loved the food and the film was brilliant - I was crying with laughter at times!  I think they did a brilliant job with the film because it could have turned out really naff.  Even Mark laughed a few times so it wasn't too bad for him to sit through - it was nice of him though because he has never even seen an episode of Sex and the City.  I have the Sex and the City theme as my ring tone on my phone (and have had for years), I said to Mark that I knew it would come back in fashion again - now I am a hip and trendy 38 year old - well, maybe not.

    Long Time, No Blogging!

Well it has just been half term and we have been to Haven with the kids since I last blogged so I thought it was about time I posted about some of the things that have been happening.

Firstly, I am very excited about having an article in the Scrapbook Magazine!  I was quite nervous about it being published (worrying about being smacked!) but the response from those I know who have read it has been good.  Obviously, I know what I wrote but I haven't actually seen the article yet and I can't wait to receive my copy after seeing this screenshot of it on the Practical Publishing website!

Secondly, we had such a lovely time at Haven and I can't wait to go back again in July.  It is the most wonderful holiday when you have children as there is so much to see and do and they are kept occupied the whole time!  Here are a few photographs from our trip.

This is what we loved most about this years trip to Haven!!  You should see me and Mark trying to learn the 'dance' - I am sure we will be joining in on the dance floor in July :)  Excuse the video, Mark took it with his phone but it is worth watching to the end to see them doing it at double speed!  Hilarious.

And finally I will leave you with a layout I did using Bellaboo's June kit :)
