So half term begins and we have some plans to take the kids on a few day trips so we are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather holds out. One of the trips is to a local farm / adventure park so I think we will all be wearing our wellies to that one! I can't wait to see Amy's face when we go to the farm as she loves animals.
I went to the Plymouth crop recently and despite not feeling too great I managed to complete a couple of layouts. The first one is based on the title of a Charlie and Lola book called 'I will never not ever eat a tomato' which pretty much describes Ben's attitude when it comes to tomatoes.
The little calendar that I made to go on the 'wall' shows the date that the photograph was taken which was actually Ben's sixth birthday. I made the little glass of milkshake using a Hambly overlay for the glass and the washing machine is actually a little shaker box with a t-shirt and red sock in it. The blue tiles are miniature mosaic tiles and I just drew the kettle on card and cut it out covering with some metal tape and using a brad for the little handle (it is straight in real life it went a little wonky in the scanner).
The next layout was a really quick one of Charlotte but I love how it turned out.
I also finished a little holiday journal but I have yet to take a photograph of that.
Have a good Sunday :)
