Sorry no posts but things have been a bit hectic here at home!
The craft room is finished enough for me to be using it right now :) I still need to get some blinds, put up some pictures and sort out all my stash but I am still having such fun in here! Oh, I need some shelves and to tidy up the wires under the desk as well!!
Here are some photographs so far...
The scrapping desk (my cutting mat needs a good scrub!), I love that I can just whizz over to the computer and then back to my scrapping.
The TV corner, please excuse the nappy boxes holding my stash - I will be changing these and sorting out the top of the unit as soon as I can get to Ikea for my storage boxes and shelves.
I can't wait to 'pretty it all up' a bit, my stash has just been literally chucked in the shelves and the moment and nothing is sorted or stored as I have planned yet, I will get there eventually!
Talking of having fun in my craft room, Design Objectives have sent me a Quickutz Silhouette SD (did you spot it in the photos?) and I love it so much, I hope they don't want it back because I am not sending it!! I can't wait to try out the glass etching technique with it, I definitely need to create some vinyl wall art and I just love that you can auto trace anything you like to create your own designs for your cards and pages. On top of all that you can access the Quickutz library of shapes and download them for use again and again at the bargain price of $1.99 each!
Well, I am going to sign off so that I am all ready to watch The Apprentice.

wow! This looks fantastic! Can I move in with you? xx

Sarah, I'm in the middle of redoing my room. I wondered if you had any more pictures of the desk area that you have? Are those just the small 2x2 Expedit shelves from Ikea that hold up the ends? I'd love to see more if you have anything. I've been trying to find cabinets on craigslist that I could repurpose into holding up a craft table. How did you do the finish on your surface? Is it painted? Varnished? Both? Just curious. Your space is LOVELY! Thanks for sharing.

Your craft room is beautiful! I can't wait until mine is finished! I had a question though....where did you get that smaller high table with stools? What brand is it?
I'll try to check back for a response!
Maybe your comment goes to my email????

Hi Rebecca,
Thanks :)
The high table with the stools is just a piece of white worktop from Ikea with a silver worktop leg (the ones you get for breakfast bars in kitchens) on the corner. The worktop is attached to the wall with batons around the underside edge. I hope that makes sense.

Your craft room is an inspiration! I am curious as to what size the room is. I've been checking out the Vika line for a similar project but my space is very small; I can't visualize if a corner desk is going to be too much in there. Thanks for posting!

Thank You Jaimie,
My room is only small (although plenty big enough iykwim!) at 10 x 10. We made the L shaped desk from 2 pieces of the Vika worktop and some of the Vika Curry table legs. Most info ishereif you need it :)
