I have just returned from a fabulous Samba parade at the kids school. The school is closing down this year and a new school has been built locally to merge our school and another local school. Whilst it is going to be brilliant that Ben, Charlotte and eventually Amy are going to be attending a brand spanking new school it is very sad that the current school is closing down and the excellent headmaster is retiring (I think I will be crying next Wednesday on the final day). To celebrate the school today there was a Samba parade led by the year 6's around the local streets and each class was dressed up as a different decade to celebrate the years since the school has been open (1940's). Ben was dressed up as the 1990's and Charlotte as the 1980's. The parade was wonderful and Myself, Mum and Amy were running around the streets following it!! When we got back to school each class was performing a song in the school field from the era they were dressed up in - unfortunately it started to rain and then there was a little thunder so we were all very quickly ushered inside to the school hall to enjoy the rest of the show. The atmosphere in the hall was great and Ben performed the Spice Girls 'Spice Up Your Life' and Charlotte was given 'Agadoo' (surely they could have found a better 1980's song!). Anyway, I can't think of enough adjectives to explain how good it was but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Unfortunately I didn't take my camera (what was I thinking?) but a friend of mine has managed to capture it on video and says she has some close up shots of the kids. Amy was a little overwhelmed by it all.
Tonights Mojoholder guest is Pearl Liu, this is my take on this weeks challenge:

Sounds like you had a great time at the parade. Love this LO, orange and blue are my fav colours for scrapping our small monkey too! xx
