Seriously, where does the time go during the Summer (if you can call it that) Holidays?
We have been to Haven again this year and the kids had a lovely time as usual. Mark and I didn't enjoy it so much this time, I think it was a combination of bad weather (although we were quite lucky really) and the fact that we have seen it all before so many times! Saying that it was great to get away and see the kids having fun.
We were so happy when we got home, unpacked and sat down to watch the X-Factor! Isn't that sad?
Well, the summer holidays are almost over, just a week and a half to go - which isn't bad considering we had eight weeks holiday this year because Ben and Charlotte will be starting a newly built school when they go back so there have been a few extra weeks to get everything ready at the school. I have almost got everything organised for their return, I just need to get all the uniform labels ironed on and then we are set.
I have to say, I will be glad to get a bit of the day back to myself, I have been trying to do a blog post for days but it just never seems to happen - kids are great at stealing your time. Tomorrows itinerary has already been dictated by Ben and goes something like this:
Get out of bed (make loads of noise!)
Get Mummy and Daddy out of Bed (noisily)
Make breakfast Messily (Ben is learning to make breakfast himself this week)
Play Pirates of the Caribbean board game with Daddy (noise!!)
Sort the batteries out for his Spiderman torch (after sulking because he has lost the game with Daddy)
I am so pleased that Ben is arranging our day! I think he has forgotten about Charlotte and Amy's needs and I will no doubt run around sorting out clothes, washing, dishes, towels, mess and other stuff before we manage to make the trip we have planned to go into town tomorrow.
Just another lazy rainy Bank Holiday Monday, but at least we are HOME!

Gorgeous photos Sarah.
Love the one of Ben & Charlotte last photo on the top. So sweet.
