Here is the canvas I made last week. This is my favourite so far, I love the colours, this photograph doesn't do it justice really. The close ups show the real colour.
The dress uses Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper from the 6" x 6" pad and the pleats are interspersed with Tim Holtz Tissue Tape. The roof of the house was made with little punched hearts (Stampin' Up punch) and the heart in the corner was created with Golden moulding paste.
I have used a plethora of rub on's from so many different companies that I don't know where to begin, but I especially love the 'Home Sweet Home' on the house and the sentiment running up the skirt saying 'The family is one of nature's masterpieces' both of which were on an old sheet of rub-ons from 7 Gypsies.
The five button flowers represent my husband, me and the three children (not that anyone else will ever know that!).
Apart from teaching me how to go about creating a mixed media canvas Christy Tomlinson has given me a whole new way to use rub-ons and I can see me using them so much more. Christy is also right about the Kaisercraft rub-ons, they are amazing and I have just got hold of a nice little pile of them :)
