I feel like I have really got into my groove with Project Life now :) Let's just hope I can keep it up because I think it will be lovely to have a whole year recorded in this way and I am already looking forward to looking back on it!
This was valentines week and Mark and I treated ourselves to a night away at the China Fleet Club which was lovely even if it is only across the Tamar bridge about 3 miles from home :)
I have used some Photo Freedom Today's Story papers and some other Echo Park papers from a 6" x 6" pad which co-ordinate nicely. I have also used some lovely digi elements from Kate Hadfield. I coloured the 'cup of tea' card in Photoshop but I could have easily used markers or any other colouring medium - I just felt like doing it quickly and cleanly.
Here are some closer pictures.
The left side of the layout uses a Photo Freedom pocket page (the back of week 6). The string of hearts was cut using a Simon Says Stamp die which I love and it is so perfect for valentines and for cards. The blue glittered heart is a very old chipboard piece from Doodlebug and, of course, I have cut the week title using the Kerri Bradford Studio silhouette files.
The right hand side of the layout uses a quote card from Pebbles 'Seen and Noted' journaling pad a kraft ticket that I got in a Scrapagogo kit a while ago and that lovely 'cup of tea' card from Kate Hadfield. The little bee stamp is from the Hero Arts Be Happy stamp set. The black and white bakers twine is from Doodlebug.
I have another Project Life freebie for later in the week so I hope you like it, this time it is a set of cards which are great fillers that allow you to add a date and a little journaling in a rainbow of pretty colours.

Also, today is this little man's 11th birthday and I can't wait to pick him up from school so he can come home and play on his new stuff. We got him a Nexus 7 so I bet he can't wait to get back either!
Mark took him bowling with his mates on Friday as a birthday treat so it will be a little family affair tonight which is how Ben likes it, he doesn't really do the big party thing as he hates loud noises and crowds.
